Chiang Mai, Thailand

Begin your journey as a certified yoga teacher with Om Ganesha Yoga Thailand.

Our comprehensive 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course blends authentic practice with modern teaching techniques that equips you with all the tools and skills needed to share the beautiful practice of yoga with others.

Hatha-based Approach

The word Hatha comes from two Sanskrit roots:

Ha - represents the Sun, symbolizing energy, action, and vitality.

Tha - means the Moon, symbolizing calmness, receptivity, and rest.

Together, Hatha Yoga means the union of solar and lunar energies, the active and passive forces within us.

In essence, Hatha Yoga prepares the body as a stable, strong, and purified vessel so that prana (energy) can flow freely, leading to inner stillness and meditation.

Our Teacher Training takes a Hatha-based approach, adopting Hatha Yoga philosophy, with an emphasis on proper posture, alignment, breath awareness, mindfulness, inner discipline and meditation - all of which serve as a foundation for all modern yoga styles (e.g. Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, etc.)

What You'll Learn

Our YTTC curriculum features a comprehensive deep-dive into the Hatha Yoga tradition - philosophy, asana, pranayama, meditation, kriya. We also spend a significant amount of time in the course on teaching methodology and practice teaching exercises to equip you with the skills and confidence to teach your own classes. Ayurvedic nutrition, physiology, anatomy and the business of yoga are also covered in the curriculum.

Course Curriculum

A note about class size

As it is important that each course participant receives sufficient personalised attention and guidance from the teachers, especially because you will go on to become yoga teachers yourselves with the responsibility of holding space and ensuring safety of your future students, we felt it best to keep the group size to a maximum of 12 participants. This provides a cosy and intimate container for the group and also so that each participant can receive sufficient guidance and support from our teachers. The course requires a minimum of 8 participants to run.

The Venue

As our main studio in Nimman will be used for our regular public yoga classes during the course dates, we have chosen a different venue that we feel is more conducive for a YTTC. The shala is fully equipped with yoga mats and props, and the venue features lots of greenery and open spaces for grounding or quiet time in nature - a perfect environment for yoga, meditation and self-study.

A light breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner are included daily in the YTTC and are lovingly prepared with vegetarian and organic ingredients by the venue's kitchen team. Participants can also order any additional food/drinks from the venue's restaurant.
